Your satisfaction is our priority. Gavzey Opticians is a family run practice with many years of experience. It was originally founded by Cecil and Freda Gavzey in 1969 and opened its branch in Hampstead Garden Suburb, NW11, in 2003, by their son Simon, with his wife Deborah Gavzey.

What does a Dispensing Optician do for you?

You will get honest advice on styling and expert fitting of the frame of your choice. You will be informed about a range of lenses, tints and coatings to suit your lifestyle and needs. You will be accurately measured for your bespoke lenses, using tried and tested traditional methods, as well using as the latest technology for those lenses requiring extra measurements for personalisation.

What does an Optometrist do for you?

At Gavzey Opticians your optometrist will look after your vision and eye health, making sure health comes first and foremost. You can talk to the optometrist and explain any problems that you are having with your eyes and any relevant health history. You will have a thorough eye test and you will be given recommendations on how best to safeguard your eyesight and when you should come back for your next eye test. You may want to try contact lenses. Why not ask if you are suitable for them.

You will then be introduced to Gavzey Opticians’ dispensing team who will expertly help with your glasses.
